Jed McNamara
Background
With more than thirty years of legal expertise in personal injury litigation, Jed McNamara has always acted for the “little guy”.
Jed is trained in trauma-informed practice, meaning he can navigate his clients through the technical, legal, and emotional complexities of the legal process with sensitivity, compassion and integrity. Jed’s approach to his clients’ legal claims combines empathy, understanding, and tenacity, explaining everything in a clear, relatable way.
But when it comes to dealing with “the other side”, Jed is no-nonsense.
In the last several years Jed forged a reputation as a fierce advocate for survivors and victims of historical child abuse, acting for and helping many clients across Australia successfully bring compensation claims against various institutions. He was directly involved in a case decided by the Queensland Court of Appeal in favour of his client.
Jed has also had success with his involvement in a landmark decision before the High Court of Australia.

Jed has discovered Pickleball – yes Pickleball! He will play as many times a week as he can fit in.
Otherwise, Jed loves Strength/Resistance training out of his home-gym. He then undoes much of his hard work by indulging in his other passion, cooking.
Jed has served on a Special Interest Group lobbying the State Government on behalf of survivors and victims of historical child abuse to remove many of the barriers that make it harder than it needs to be for people to be heard and to receive justice.
