"Set your goals high, and don't stop until you get there."

Background

Kirstie Watts LLB (Hons) is an award-winning, dedicated Associate at Murphy's Law Accident Lawyers. Specialising in accident compensation claims, Kirstie provides the best service to our clients through her genuine, caring nature and gold-standard legal expertise.

What she enjoys most about her job is the opportunity to help people through challenging times. Beyond securing fair compensation, she takes pride in providing guidance and reassurance to clients who feel overwhelmed by the legal process. Seeing their relief and knowing she's made a real impact is what drives her, being a strong advocate for her clients, communicating clearly, and building trust so they feel supported every step of the way.

Kirstie grew up in New South Wales, and having moved around quite a lot when she was younger, she got to see a lot of new places and experience new things. Especially being the youngest of five, she had the chance to observe what her older siblings were doing with their lives; her eldest sister is 15 years older than her! With this upbringing, she had the benefit of watching and learning from their experiences, which gave her an understanding of where she wanted to go in life and what success looked like for her.

Kirstie studied law here in Brisbane at Griffith University and was admitted as a solicitor in 2021, with her first role as a practising Solicitor being here with us at Murphy's Law Accident Lawyers, joining the firm in early 2022. Moving forward, she definitely wants to continue to build a successful career in accident law.

Special Interests

In her free time, Kirstie loves getting lost in a good book, letting stories transport her to different worlds and perspectives. She also cherishes time with friends and family, whether it’s sharing laughter over a meal or enjoying meaningful conversations. Journaling is another passion of hers - it allows her to reflect, unwind, and capture moments that might otherwise slip away.

Outside of work, Kirstie is also active in events and training sessions through a number of professional associations, including Queensland Law Society, Queensland Young Lawyers, and Human Rights Law Association. She is also one of the original founding members of Northside Young Lawyers, an affiliation she and her colleagues created to engage young lawyers on Brisbane’s northside.
