Background
Kirk grew up in the rural Northern NSW town of Ballina. After graduating from Year 12, he moved to Brisbane to commence his studies where he obtained his dual degree of Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Science from the University of Queensland.
When asked about what he likes most about working at Murphy's Law he says 'It's great to be work alongside a sociable yet incredibly hardworking team".
Area of Expertise
Kirk practices in all areas of personal injury litigation, including:
- Motor vehicle accidents;
- Boating and jet ski accidents;
- Work accidents;
- Public liability incidents; and
- TPD and other insurance claims.
Notably, he has a considerable amount of experience and a special interest in medical negligence claims, having spent a number of years focusing specifically on that one area of litigation.
Overall, Kirk likes to think that his rural upbringing helped instil his core values of honesty, hard work and commitment. Overall, he enjoys the challenge of helping people in adverse circumstances achieve positive outcomes.
Special Interests
Kirk likes to consider himself as a bit of an outdoors guy (or in his own words, “a mixture of Russell Coight and Crocodile Dundee”). Most weekends you will find him surfing, snorkelling, fishing or camping around South East Qld and Northern NSW. He also likes to keep fit, perform renovations on his first home and fancies himself as a bit of a chef!
