Meet Krista Robbins
It always seems impossible until it’s done.
Krista might sport a constant smile but don’t let that fool you. Behind that smile she hides extensive management & administrative skills and a self-commitment to always be on the path to a higher level of knowledge.
In her early career Krista had the opportunity to work with Police Prosecutions in the Northern Territory and later in a Community Support role. These roles gave Krista a real interest in law and justice and grew further her strong sense of community. It is the enjoyment that Krista got from these roles that pulled her back to law when the opportunity arose.
If you chat with Krista about her early career she may recount a day that she was charged with the responsibility of communicating with a non-English speaking lady attempting to seek asylum in Australia, an experience she recollects strongly as being very challenging and emotional, but also rewarding and life-changing.
Having worked in regional Australia Krista also has a real understanding of what it’s like to live outside of Australia’s bigger cities and to understand the difficulties that can be faced by these communities.
It’s a testament to Krista’s determination that she has been able to take on various roles and use them to enhance her already impressive set of skills which includes day-to-day accounts, financial reporting, meeting management, data entry, first aid, counselling, personnel management, team building, creative content, public relations, file organisation, drafting, policy development and extensive Microsoft software product knowledge, along with others.
When she’s not at work Krista enjoys being spontaneous. Fun days for Krista entail getting into her car and travelling to new and exciting destinations, going for long walks along the beach, bush hiking, mountain bike riding and spending her time with family and friends.
