Background
Chris McMahon LLB LLM AccS(PI) is a highly experienced Special Counsel at Murphy’s Law Accident Lawyers, with more than 30 years’ expertise in accident law, 26 years’ accreditation by the Queensland Law Society as a Personal Injury Law Specialist, Bachelors and Masters legal qualifications, and 16 solely-held, prestigious industry recognitions.
Chris’ extensive experience encompasses a wide range of accident law, including motor vehicle accidents, work accidents, institutional abuse, medical negligence, public liability, TPD claims, and more.
Known for his tenacity and client-first mentality, Chris is not one to roll over and settle at the first offer. No matter what it takes, he insists on going the extra Murphy’s mile to push on to achieve significantly greater outcomes. His wealth of expertise enables him to identify any potential pitfalls, always being mindful of the cost thresholds to protect his clients from over-capitalising on costs, resulting in the best balance needed for the most amount of compensation going directly into his clients’ pockets.
Born and raised in Toowoomba, Chris' early involvement in junior rugby league and scouting instilled in him the values of loyalty and teamwork — traits he carries into his profession. He appreciates working alongside like-minded colleagues at Murphy’s Law, where the focus is always on the best interests of clients. His trial experience is notable, having navigated complex cases in the courtroom, such as McMillan vs. Suncorp, and his reputation has earned the genuine respect of his peers and opponents alike.
