Michelle Tomley is Special Counsel at Murphy's Law Accident Lawyers with more than 23 years' experience in insurance litigation.
She is highly experienced in CTP (Compulsory Third Party), liability, and workers’ compensation claims, having managed a diverse portfolio of matters involving public, product, and employer liability, as well as property damage. Her extensive expertise spans a range of statutory compensation and regulatory schemes, and includes experience handling claims related to owner/occupiers, workplace incidents, and subcontractor arrangements.
Michelle joined Murphy's Law Accident Lawyers from her position as former Queensland Practice Leader for an international, ASX-listed accident law firm, where she led a team specialising in Head Trauma cases, being responsible for coordinating efforts across multiple locations.
Michelle is known for her leadership and strategic expertise through her ability to provide commercially sensitive advice on indemnity, liability, and quantum issues, which is complemented by her skills in advocacy and conference experience. She previously produced a comprehensive Quantum Case Reference tool that summarised key findings from Queensland civil damages judgments.
With a robust track record of driving excellence and fostering team success, Michelle continues to leverage her technical expertise and strategic vision to achieve outstanding outcomes for her clients.
