Background
While not client-facing, Angus (a.k.a. Gus) plays a central role in shaping how Murphy’s Law Accident Lawyers is seen, heard and understood.
As Marketing Coordinator, Gus works closely with Murphy's Law Founder, Donna and Principal, Chris to shape how Murphy’s communicates itself to the world. His work spans branding, business development, communications, content creation, digital marketing, graphic design and public relations, with a focus on blending creativity and strategy in a way that feels clear, consistent and reflective of, the people behind Murphy's Law and how we support our clients.
Much of Gus’ experience has been grounded in supporting those around him. After balancing his studies with a career in hospitality management, he developed a strong sense of resilience and a practical understanding of how to work with and support people under pressure, which underpinned his future work across various pressure-heavy industries before finding his current home in law.
During a stint in Toowoomba, Gus worked in the funeral care industry, supported families directly through the grieving process, including filming and livestreaming over 1000 services in just over a year. Returning to his hometown Brisbane, he then led the execution of a charity partnership initiative that raised nearly $20,000 for the Children’s Hospital Foundation and supported the launch of a significant campaign that raised hundreds of thousands in pro bono legal support to the community housing sector.
Gus was drawn to Murphy's Law through both his interest in the legal profession and his own experience following a serious motor vehicle accident caused by another driver. This incident gave him a strong appreciation for the role firms like Murphy’s Law plays in supporting clients through difficult and unexpected situations.
