Background

While not client-facing, Angus (a.k.a. Gus) plays a central role in shaping how Murphy’s Law Accident Lawyers is seen, heard and understood by industry colleagues, clients, and the wider community.

As Marketing Coordinator, Gus serves as the driving force behind Murphy's Law's marketing, communications and brand presence, working closely with Founder, Donna and Principal, Chris to ensure the firm's reputation is reflected in every initiative, piece of content and client experience. His work spans branding, business development, strategic communications, creative services, digital marketing, project delivery and public relations, with a focus on ensuring the firm's identity, values and client-first approach are reflected in everything it does, from the people behind Murphy's Law to how we support our clients.

Much of Gus' career has been shaped by roles centered on helping people navigate challenging and often high-pressure circumstances. Balancing his studies with a career in hospitality management, he developed resilience, adaptability and a practical understanding of how to lead and support others in demanding environments. Whether training and mentoring first-time hospitality workers across South East Queensland, supporting families through loss, or helping lawyers communicate with clarity and purpose, his career has consistently revolved around supporting and uplifting people.

After working across a range of industries, Gus brings an appreciation for the importance of strong relationships and continuous improvement, and he believes the most effective brands are those that remain closely connected to their purpose, the people they serve and the outcomes they help achieve. Gus was drawn to Murphy's Law through both his interest and prior experience in the legal industry and his own experience following a serious motor vehicle accident caused by another driver. This incident gave him a strong appreciation for the role firms like Murphy’s Law plays in supporting clients through difficult and unexpected situations.
