Murphy's Law Accident Lawyers has expanded to the Sunshine Coast, a homecoming of sorts for Donna and Chris McManus, who met and began their legal careers there and have continued to grow their strong connections with the region.

The new hub, located in Chancellor Park, is the first full-time base outside of Brisbane for Murphy’s Law Accident Lawyers, marking a major milestone in the firm’s ongoing growth and successes.

Headed by Special Counsel Jed McNamara and Paralegal Nadine Woldseth, an established community presence will allow the team to provide clients with more personalised support, while also drawing on the firm’s strong network of local connections and professional partners.

The milestone holds special meaning for Chris and Donna given their Sunshine Coast roots, memories of their fledgling years as budding lawyers, and their ongoing support and community work in the region that continues to this day.

Donna and Chris spent years volunteering with community legal services. Donna was also previously Secretary of the Sunshine Coast Law Association. She also volunteered with the Sunshine Coast Community Legal Service and was a Founding Member and original Secretary of Harmony House, a children’s contact charity helping families safely exchange kids between parents.

Murphy’s Law also continues its strong community ties through the Murphy’s Law Prize for Excellence in Torts at the University of Sunshine Coast (UniSC) Student Awards, an annual prize that recognises the highest-achieving student in the study of Torts.

Although operating from a more enviously coastal setting, exceptionally experienced hub members Jed and Nadine will be anything but siloed! They will remain deeply embedded in the Murphy’s Law team, working daily with their Brisbane counterparts and having a consistent presence in the big smoke.

Special Counsel Jed McNamara brings more than 30 years’ specialist experience, while Paralegal Nadine Woldseth has worked in law for 27 years and has helped hundreds of clients through some of the toughest times in their lives.

The new office is a friendly place where clients can seek expert advice, meet one-on-one in comfortable surrounds, and even see some four-legged friends along the way – we’re told they make the place feel a little more like home!
