Ben Humphreys is an experienced Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer for Murphy's Law Accident Lawyers with extensive expertise working in the professional services, software development, professional consulting and sales industries.
Skilled in negotiation, strategic business planning, finance and operations management, general management, and contract management. Ben brings more than 20 years' business and financial experience to the firm and enjoys the people and shared objectives of those working at Murphy’s Law, namely, his ability to improve the financial future of our clients.
His strong finance and operations nous are supported by his membership with CPA Australia, along with a BComm, focussed in accounting, from University of Southern Queensland.
With a majority of his career operating within privately owned SMEs, Ben has had exposure to a wide variety of business operations, having managed the full finance functions of multiple corporate groups, as well as IT, HR, administration, software development, and marketing.
He is driven by his passion to assist Murphy's Law Accident Lawyers in a strategic and controlled manner. He brings to the firm demonstrable and quantitative experiences working with a variety of companies, some starting from scratch, before growing to more than $15 million in annual revenue, both domestically and in China.
Ben joined the firm in late 2020 to manage our firm's operations and finances as we grew, wasting no time in improving the efficiencies of the firm and our expanded office spaces, all with a laser-light objective of ensuring the very best service for our clients.
Special Interests
While out of the office Ben enjoys getting out for a weekend cycle around Brisbane, spending time with his wife, travelling, and enjoying nice food and wine.
