Murphy’s Law Accident Lawyers is proudly marking its tenth year of operation, a milestone underscored by a string of recent achievements, including prestigious awards, a flawless five-star Google review rating, outstanding settlement outcomes, and key additions to its team.

From its humble beginnings with founder Donna McManus operating from home, Murphy’s Law has evolved over the decade to become a highly regarded accident law practice with a 30-strong team and 93 prestigious industry-wide recognitions.

Along with Founder Donna McManus, the firm is now also led by multi award-winning Queensland Law Society Accredited Specialists, Principal Chris McManus and Special Counsel Chris McMahon, along with Principal Kirk Watterston, a two-time Rising Star recipient.

This year has already been a successful one for Murphy’s Law, receiving a Best Law Firms™ accolade for personal injury litigation, placing the firm among the top two per cent of practices nationwide.

Principal Chris McManus and Special Counsel Chris McMahon were again named in this year’s edition of The Best Lawyers in Australia™, building on the firm’s back-to-back recognitions in Doyles Guide to the Australian Legal Profession each year since 2017.

The firm has also welcomed new talent this year, including two solicitors, four paralegals, four law clerks, administrative support, and a multi award-winning head of marketing, now bolstered by the recent addition of Michelle Tomley, former Legal Practice Manager (Head Trauma) for Shine Lawyers.

Founder Donna McManus said the realisation of her vision would not have been possible without the Murphy’s Law team and the firm’s extended professional family.

“The people who have contributed to the firm along the way are the cornerstone to our success,” Ms McManus said.

“The highly personable and extraordinarily capable people that are needed to manage the complex affairs of our clients are not easily found. We deeply appreciate the contributions and commitment made by everyone who has been part of the evolution of Murphy’s Law.”

To celebrate this significant milestone, Murphy’s Law hosted a 10-year celebration at Bougainvillea House at Howard Smith Wharves, culminating in the recent Futures Fest, a firm-wide offsite that brought the team together to break down obstacles to success and strategise for the future.
