Message from our Principal
We don’t believe in fighting bureaucracy (insurance companies) with more bureaucracy (large law firms). That’s why we’ve created a mid-sized family-owned law practice where the whole focus is on service to others before self and where a true sense of seeking genuine justice exists. That’s at the very core of our philosophy.
We don’t have expensive city-based offices with large overheads. We don’t have huge advertising budgets. We don’t allow the professional staff to become overloaded with too many files. Each of those drive law practices towards a profit-centred mindset where profit and process outrank people and pragmatism. Sadly it’s all too common.
Our set-up allows us to put people first. We have hand-picked a team of like-minded professionals who are genuinely good people and great lawyers. Our Principal starts helping Queenslanders with compensation
Chris McManus was admitted as a solicitor in Queensland working in accident insurance in a large insurance law firm. He goes on to become a Partner of that firm, specialising in helping injured clients with insurance claims. He continues with that practice for over two decades.
2014
Murphy’s Law founded
Donna McManus founds Murphy's Law and Premier Legal to help Queenslanders access justice with personal service, dedication and compassion. In 2016 her husband Chris McManus joined as Principal.
2018

The team grows over the following years including the addition of Chris McMahon as Special Counsel in 2018 who brings extensive experience, awards and is a Queensland Law Society Accredited Specialist.
